Edge Insights, Inc. (formerly UtiliTech) today announced the addition of Abbey Nyce, Sales Tax Practice Manager to the UtiliTech team. In her new position, Abbey will be responsible for the following:

  • Creating and filing of client sales tax exemption documents
  • Communicating with state sales tax agencies (Department of Revenue) to process client refunds
  • Researching sales tax laws and exemptions by for all states and federal excise taxes


Headquartered in Berks County for over 20 years, UtiliTech has been known for discovering huge cost-reductions and savings for their clients through energy and telecom auditing and procurement. In an effort to further save money for its’ clients, the Company has expanded its service offerings to include Manufacturing Tax Audits.

In Pennsylvania and many other states, manufacturers are eligible for exemption from sales tax on certain portions of their energy purchases. Already, UtiliTech’s energy engineers have performed the energy sales tax audit calculation for dozens of Pennsylvania-based manufacturers and have been 100% successful at validating the precise manufacturing exemption percentage in the state!

Upon completion of the audit, Abbey will ensure energy providers bill the tax correctly, and, if a refund is due, Abbey will make certain the client receives their payment.

Abbey is a graduate of Wilson High School and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
